This collection isn’t called The Hydration Trio for nothing. Per its name, it’s ultra-hydrating, thanks to the inclusion of hyaluronic acid. All three formulas feature this powerful humectant as a key ingredient, making them some of the most hydrating skincare formulas you can find on Target shelves.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural humectant that can attract and retain moisture, making it one of the best skincare ingredients for hydration. Since it is on the lightweight side of the spectrum, most skin types can benefit from hyaluronic acid skincare formulas. This includes oily skin, which requires moisture to stay balanced but not so much that it feels heavy on the complexion and leaves behind a greasy residue. Dry skin types also benefit from a layer of hyaluronic acid to replenish and create a nice base for additional skin hydrators like gels and oils.

I used to not care too much about my cleanser choice—after all, it doesn’t spend a ton of time on my skin. But, after using a formula that was a bit too clarifying for my dry complexion, I learned the importance of choosing a face wash that can cleanse the complexion without stripping the skin (and add in a bit of hydration, too). I love the lightweight and creamy consistency of the Versed Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. In addition to its inclusion of hyaluronic acid, it’s also formulated with pro-vitamin B5 to soothe and soften the skin, along with aloe leaf juice for its hydrating properties. I don’t wear a ton of makeup, but I found that this not only washes away dirt and debris but also does a fabulous job of rinsing off tinted sunscreen, eyebrow gel, mascara, blush, and concealer, too.Size: 6 ounces

After rinsing my complexion with the Versed Gentle Hydrating Cleanser, I reached for the Versed Water Rush Intensive Hydrating Serum for some lightweight hydration. Since my skin is dry, this isn’t the only hydrating serum that I used, but I found that it makes for an excellent base that can support the efforts of some of my other go-to formulas (like the Herbivore EMERALD Deep Moisture Glow Oil and the KaramMD Enrich Breathable Barrier Balm, which have completely changed my skin health).This face serum features two types of hyaluronic acid, so it ups the ante on the benefits of hyaluronic acid and delivers a ton of moisture to the skin. It has a lightweight gel consistency that is also fast-absorbing and doesn’t leave your skin feeling super sticky, so it’s excellent for layering with other formulas. With regular use, I found that my skin felt more hydrated, even when I wasn’t wearing it.
